A Day Out with U3A Bus Pass Tours - by Corine
I wanted to share with you my lovely experience on the U3A bus tour we had on June 24th, It was a delightful day, and I thought you might enjoy hearing about it.
We started our adventure at the local bus station, where our group of four U3A members gathered. Our first stop was an old fashioned café called “The Vine.” This place was absolutely charming, we explored the café which had a fantastic collection of books and other interesting exhibits. The history and beauty of The Vine were truly captivating.
After spending some time at The Vine, we headed to a bustling local market. The market was full of life, with stalls offering a variety of products. I particularly enjoyed browsing through the different items and soaking in the vibrant atmosphere. It was a great chance to pick up a few unique bits and pieces.
In the afternoon, we visited a few more shops, which was a nice way to wrap up our outing. Before we knew it, it was time to head back to the bus station. The whole day was so well-organised and enjoyable. It provided a wonderful mix of exploration and relaxation.
All in all, I had a fantastic day with the U3A group. It was great to explore new places and spend time with fellow members. I’m already looking forward to our next adventure!

A Trip to Loughborough - 1st July 24
Today (1st July) was our July bus pass tour. We caught the bus from St. Margaret's Bus Station to Loughborough.
There was only 4 of u3a members again. I knew there were a few others who would have joined us but due to illness or belonging to other Monday groups they were unable to come. What has happened to all the other members of the group. Please could you let me know how to encourage you to join us.
We had a lovely day walking around Loughborough, stopping at John Storer House for their homemade scones & tea. It was a shame the rain joined us as we walked around Queens Park. Sue Took
