Gardening has appeal for everyone. Whether you have a big garden, a back yard, a few balcony pots or some house plants, there is always something interesting and new to look at and learn. The group meets once a month in members’ homes to share ideas and knowledge about plants and different techniques and to swap cuttings and seeds. We aim to visit each others gardens and bigger, professionally tended gardens farther afield. Beginner, enthusiastic dabbler, or expert, this group will interest you.

A Visit to a National Garden Scheme Garden at Groby
Angie Barnes writes
The u3a gardening group spent a lovely but hot afternoon at a National garden scheme garden in Groby. A beautiful large garden in three sections. Flowers at the top, greenhouses in the middle and a pond and woodland area at the bottom. To finish off with it was tea and cake on the patio. A good afternoon was had by all.

A visit to The Secret Garden at Wigston Framework Knitters Museum was very enjoyable.
